After years of shaking off a regular, but small bit of knee pain, Larry Baranowski says,” all of sudden it seemed like the pain got so bad, so fast. I had massive amounts of pain and swelling from just a little walking.”
“I decided to try some pain injections, but I had no relief. The injections did absolutely nothing to lessen or ease the pain.” An MRI and X-rays helped to determine that his cartilage, the protective padding between the bones, had broken down so far that his leg bones were rubbing one another. “This bone-on-bone problem made it hard to move without pain,” he said.
Larry notes, “I saw Dr. Craig Erekson, he listened to the story of my symptoms and challenges. Dr. Erekson told Larry that a good option for a precision, long-lasting full knee replacement is with robot assisted surgery. Larry notes, “they called it ROSA, but it turns out it is not really a full robot. It’s more of a specialized surgical arm with software that helps the surgeon during surgery with a precise fit for my unique knee.”
Surgery and physical therapy went well! “Everyone associated with OSMC worked together to get me back on my feet. Four weeks after surgery I was back to work and looking forward to getting back to golfing. The league starts at the end of April.”
Larry affirms, “I am telling friends, family and neighbors that OSMC is the best place!
Everything you need is all at one location, the expert doctors, the surgery center and physical therapy. A specialist and convenience. Why go anywhere else?”
