Physician Assistant (PA)
Megan Maloney, a licensed, board-certified physician assistant (PA) joined the Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center in 2021. She works in collaboration with OSMC joint reconstruction specialist Dr. Jacob Hinkley.
Megan received her bachelor of science in athletic training, with honors, from University of Indianapolis in 2009. She went on to complete her master of science in physician assistant studies from University of St. Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 2013.
Prior to joining OSMC, Megan worked as a PA at The South Bend Clinic, where she coordinated the start of an urgent orthopedic care clinic, and Beacon Medical Group Trauma and Surgical Services. She also has experience as an athletic trainer serving Mishawaka High School, and as a research assistant - data analyst. She has numerous published research papers and articles.
Megan is certified by the National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants, the only certifying organization for PAs in the United States. The certification is a mark of professional accomplishment, indicating the achievement and maintenance of established levels of knowledge and clinical skills. She is affiliated with Elkhart General Hospital.
Outside of OSMC, Megan volunteers with not-for-profit organizations and enjoys spending time with her family.
